About Me
Meet Mila Renken
I’m Mila Renken, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in South Pasadena, California.
My path to this work wasn’t linear. It grew out of my own experiences with loss, healing, and reinvention in midlife. What began as a personal journey became a calling, helping others discover that even life’s most difficult moments can hold the potential for growth and transformation.
Today, I work with individuals navigating transitions, uncertainty, and emotional challenges, offering both practical tools and a space to be fully seen and understood.

Finding meaning in the moments we almost miss
Stopping for Signs
In the middle of uncertainty, I began noticing something I hadn’t before, small, quiet signs pointing me forward.
A message on a street sign. A moment with a stranger. A feeling I couldn’t ignore.
Stopping for Signs is a collection of reflections and stories about learning to trust yourself, especially in midlife, when life asks you to listen more closely.
It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about becoming open enough to see them.

THE BRIDGE
Two paths. One purpose.
My work as a therapist and my writing are deeply connected. Both are about helping people slow down, tune in, and navigate life with greater clarity and intention.
Whether you’re seeking support through therapy or resonance through story, you’ll find a space here to reflect, reset, and move forward.
